POFMA…some cases to date; – POFMA Bill was passed in Parliament on 8th May 2019 – Faked news and articles; and on-line falsehoods; Should have jail sentence too not just fines for offenders; Fines do not affect those with deep pockets; POFMA Law – applied on first two cases in Nov 2019. First court case on 16th Jan 2020; Some could pay the fines by crowd funding; Will the fines go to benefit charities? Some want POFMA to extend to and be applied internationally; Possible?
